Applying STINCS

Emily: In our second hour we were asked to use STINCS and create a mind map of our title sequence idea. We looked at Distributor and Production Company, Style, Camerawork, Genre, Style and Editing, Text on screen, Narrative, Setting, Make-up and props, Characters, Sound.

Doing STINCS, we could clearly see what we need to have in our title sequence. This helped us plan and structure what we have to do.

We redid the brainstorm more neatly to a brainstorm bubble:

This brain storm describes the Distributor and Production Company, Style, Camerawork, Genre, Style and Editing, Text on screen, Narrative, Setting, Make-up and props, Characters, Sound, Cast, Text on screen and Style
I did some research about Weapons for a kidnapping and Medicine doctors use to treat people for a schizophrenia because that is what our film idea is initially about (a girl who thinks she is getting kidnapped but is taken to get better from her illness). We got some pictures contrasting between what equipment would be used in each setting.

Weapons Medicine

These pictures show the contrast in helping people and hurting people. This made our group think if we should incorporate these weapons into our title sequence. I do not think we want to go in depth of the whole kidnapped vs hospital. We just want the title sequence to hint what the story is about.
